Elevator replacements will take place at International District/Chinatown Station Exit A, beginning Tuesday, October 29 until Friday, February 28.
Beginning Oct. 29 and continuing through Feb. 28, 2025, Sound Transit will replace and modernize both elevators at the north end of International District/Chinatown Station (entrance/exit A). During this time, all passengers needing elevator access at this station should plan to use the elevators that serve entrance/exit B, located at the south end of the station (closest to S King Street). Exit B elevators are expected to return to service by Oct. 25. If the return of the elevators is delayed, we will postpone work on the exit A elevators until the exit B elevators return to service. This work is part of a multi-year project to modernize the elevators and escalators throughout the four downtown Seattle Link stations: International District/Chinatown, Pioneer Square, University Street, and Westlake stations. These upgrades aim to enhance the reliability of the stations’ facilities. For updates, passengers should subscribe to service alerts for accessibility. You can also
