Handrails for the public stairwells will be extended at both the top and bottom. This will be completed in two phases without impact to service. Phase 1: One or both of the stairs may be closed at the south plaza at one time. Access to the northbound and southbound platform will be from south plaza elevators and from the north/overcrossing. Phase 2: One or both of the stairs on the north/ped bridge may be closed. Access to the northbound and southbound platforms will be from north/overcrossing elevators and from the south plaza. Closed stairs will be barricaded at the top and bottom. Escalators and elevators will remain open and operational during both phases. Please be aware dates and times are subject to change. If traveling toward Northgate, ride the 1 Line to Stadium Station and transfer to bus route 101, 102, 150, or 594 to reach Int'l District/Chinatown Station. If traveling toward Angle Lake, ride the 1 Line to Pioneer Square Station, use Exit C to 3rd Avenue & Yesler Way, and ride King County Metro routes 7, 14, or 36 to reach Int'l District/Chinatown Station.
Passengers requiring elevator service from International Blvd must board at another station. To ride the 1 Line: 1. Cross International Blvd using the crosswalk at S 176th St to the King County Metro bus stop. 2. Ride the southbound RapidRide A-Line to International Blvd & S 200th St for Angle Lake Station. 3.
