Continue on S 200th St toward International Blvd. 4. Turn left on International Blvd and continue until you reach the King County Metro bus stop. 5. Take the northbound RapidRide A-Line to S 176th & International Blvd to return to SeaTac/Airport Station.
To ride the 1 Line: 1. Exit the station. 2. Turn right onto 12th Ave NE. 3. Turn right onto NE 65th St. 4. Enter the station and take the elevator down to the platform. To exit the station: 1. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit B. 2. Take the elevator up to the street.
The scheduled maintenance is to adjust handrails at 2 accessible ramps and 1 stairwell at the entrance to the 148th station/garage. The work will occur in 3 phases. Phase 1: Dec 2-4 The ramp on the south side of the entrance will be closed (stairs on south side and ramp on north side of entrance to remain open). Phase 2: Dec 4-5 The stairs will be closed (ramps on side and north side of entrance remain open). Phase 3: Dec 5-6 The ramp on the north side of the entrance/148th will be closed (ramp and stairs on south side of entrance remain open). Work will be done sequentially, so there is always one ramp at the entrance open. The accessible path on the south side of the garage will remain open. The maintenance is weather dependent, dates and times are subject to change.
The work will require escalators to be turned off for an estimated 8-9 days each escalator, and at times may impact walk/roll paths through portions of the station or plazas. Most the work will be conducted between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. so as to reduce impact to passengers. Stairwells will be closed at times during these hours while scaffolding is being erected or dismantled. Escalator closures are currently planned for the following date ranges: • Dec 6-10: escalator at north end of station (serving Exit A) will be out of service. • Dec 10-14: escalator at south end of station (serving Exit B) will be out of service. Beginning 7 a.m. Monday, December 2 through 5 p.m. Friday, December 20, Sound Transit will be replacing expansion joint covers on the South Bellevue Station. This work entails closure of one elevator and stairwell at a time, beginning with the elevator and stairwell at the north end of the platform (Exit A). Once the expansion joints are replaced at the north end of the platform, the work will proceed to the south end of the platform (Exit B). During the work hours, passengers should use the elevator or stairwell at the other end of the station. The work will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. After 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning, the elevator and stairwell will be restored to service OR will remain closed. Installation of this equipment is needed to provide real-time train arrival information made possible through Sound Transit’s new Passenger Information Management System (PIMS). Information displayed on signs at the stations may not be viewable during installation and testing. There should be minimal impact on how a passenger navigates through the platform. The 1 Line will operate in three segments. Passengers will need to transfer between each segment to continue their journey: - Lynnwood–U District: about every 22 minutes - U District–Capitol Hill: about every 22 minutes - Capitol Hill–Angle Lake: about every 15 minutes Passengers are encouraged to plan for up to an hour of additional travel time or seek alternate transportation options. Supplemental shuttle buses will run every 10-15 minutes between U District, University of Washington, and Capitol Hill stations to help with crowding. Trains will share one track at Roosevelt, U District, and University of Washington stations. Check train signage to ensure boarding the correct train. This message is for passengers and pedestrians who use the Weller Street Bridge at King Street Station between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. (outside of Sounder train hours of operation), to cross the tracks between 4th Ave S and the Amtrak Station or Lumen Field area in Seattle.
