During this construction, passengers are not able to travel on the south escalator or the stairs. Passengers will need to use the south elevator or the north entrance.
The elevator serving the street (S King St) and pedestrian bridge will be out of service. During this time, passengers needing elevator access will need to detour through the Amtrak Depot with the assistance of station personnel. A Station Agent or security officer will be on hand to assist passengers getting to/from the Sounder platform. To board the Sounder without using stairs, if approaching the station from the east end of Weller St Bridge near 4th Ave S, please wait at the elevator for assistance. If approaching from S King St, please proceed to the southwest corner of the Amtrak Depot, where a Station Agent and/or security will provide detour route assistance. To exit the station from the Sounder platform, please proceed to the north end of the platform. A Station Agent and/or security will provide detour route assistance. Street level elevators at U District Station are located on Brooklyn Ave NE at NE 43rd St or NE 45th St. Passengers requiring elevator service CANNOT exit Roosevelt Station. To exit the station: 1. Board the 1 Line toward Angle Lake. 2. Exit the 1 Line at U District Station. 3. Go to King County Metro bus stop at University Way NE & NE 43rd St. 4. Take route 45 to 12th Ave NE & NE 65th St to return to Roosevelt Station.

To ride the Sounder: Passengers with a vehicle: 1. Take the elevator down to return to the parking lot (Park & Ride C). 2. Return to your vehicle. 3. Travel to Park & Ride B for access to Everett Station. Passengers without a vehicle*: 1. Take the elevator down to return to the parking lot (Park & Ride C). 2. Exit the parking lot and turn left on Hill Ave. 3. Turn left on Pacific Ave and continue west. 4. Turn left on Smith Ave and continue south. 5. Enter Everett Station (Smith Ave & 32nd St). *Note: This detour includes approximately 0.6 miles of additional travel and includes changes in elevation. To exit the station: To Park & Ride Lot C: 1. Turn right on Smith Ave. 2. Continue north on Smith Ave to Pacific Ave. 3. Turn right on Pacific Ave and continue east. 4. Turn right onto Hill Ave. 5. Enter the Park & Ride Lot C.

To ride the 1 Line from Bus Bay 3: 1. Cross Montlake Blvd NE using the crosswalk at NE Pacific Pl. 2. Turn right at Husky Stadium and continue toward the pedestrian bridge. 3. Enter University of Washington Station. 4. Take the in-service elevator down to the platform. To ride the 1 Line from the UW Station entrance: 1. Take the elevator located directly across from the out of service unit down to the platform. To exit the station from the platform: 1. Take the nearby elevator located directly across from the out of service unit up to the street (Montlake Blvd NE). To exit the station from the pedestrian bridge: 1. Follow the pedestrian bridge back toward the station. 2. Take the elevator from the pedestrian bridge down to the street. 3. To cross Montlake Blvd NE, use the crosswalk at Montlake Blvd NE & NE Pacific Pl.
