To ride the 1 Line: 1. Take the elevator located directly across from the out of service unit down to the platform. To exit the station: 1. Take the nearby elevator located directly across from the out of service unit up to the street or pedestrian bridge to Montlake Blvd NE.
Riders requiring elevator service must board at another station. To ride the 1 Line: 1. Go to King County Metro Bus Bay 3 at NE Pacific Pl & Montlake Blvd NE. 2. Take route 44 to Brooklyn Ave NE & E 43rd St for U District Station. 3. Street level elevators at U District Station are located on Brooklyn Ave NE at NE 43rd St or NE 45th St. Riders requiring elevator service CANNOT exit from the platform. To exit the station: 1. Board the 1 Line toward Northgate. 2. Exit the 1 Line at U District Station. 3. Go to King County Metro Bus Bay 3 at University Way NE & NE 45th St. 4. Take route 44 to Pacific Pl & NE Pacific St to return to University of Washington Station.
