New Variable Messaging Signs will be installed at the Tukwila Sounder Station beginning Monday, Dec 11 through Dec 13. This work will take place from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on weekdays.

Installation of this equipment is needed to provide real-time train arrival information made possible through Sound Transit’s new Passenger Information Management System (PIMS). Information displayed on signs at the stations may not be viewable during installation and testing. There should be minimal impact on how a passenger navigates through the platform. Dec 11-13: Tukwila Station Similar installation work has been completed at Lakewood, South Tacoma, and Tacoma Dome stations. Signage installation at the remaining S Line stations, originally planned to take place this month, has been postponed. Information concerning the rescheduling of the work will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
